Why we built our own machine
Before BESKAR DARTS, we spent close to a decade working behind the scenes in the darts industry, including manufacturing machines for one of the pioneers of electronic darts, and later the production, servicing and support of amusement machines more broadly. Years spent around tournaments and listening to players gave us a good sense of both the technical side of the business and what players value most.
That's what led us to build our own machine: we simply wanted to bring a fresh, accessible alternative for players in Croatia. Everything that followed came as a result of the product itself.
From first sketches to Nova 01
Development started in late 2022, with the first 3D renders and market research shaping the machine we wanted to put in front of players. From the earliest prototypes, the focus was on design and functionality in equal measure — built to work as well for someone picking up darts for the first time as for competitive players. PKD Innovations d.o.o. was founded on 26 January 2024, and Nova 01 launched later that year, in summer, quickly gaining traction.
Built to keep evolving
By early 2025, BESKAR DARTS machines were installed across Croatia and several European countries. Early feedback mattered more than anything, and it was overwhelmingly positive from the start.
We never saw BESKAR DARTS as a finished product. Continuous improvement has been part of our approach from day one, and every update reflects real-world experience from our customers. As long as players keep challenging us, BESKAR DARTS will continue to evolve.
